How long of a drive is it?

Well, from Uhrichsville, OH it is 10 hours, but if you drive like Maggie and I (at a safe clip with not really stopping) you can make it in 9. I think google says it is around 10-11. From Tulsa, OK--google maps says 18 hours. I think you could knock a few off of that though--i think it took about 20 in the rental truck going 65 the whole time. Those are the two main routes that I know---hopefully that helps.

What hotel should we stay at?

I have rooms available at Wingate. But if you have a discount at another hotel or like another chain better--stay there. I have recommended a few on the website under hotel information. If you are going to stay at one that I didn't recommend. Please email me--I will ask Maggie how the hotel is and the location. She has a great idea of the hotel industry in Wilmington. Also once everyone has their hotels, I am going to need you to email me where you are going to be staying (unless you are at the Wingate). You can do that by just clicking on the contact us button--it will go straight to my email box.

Should we rent a car?

Well, I guess that would be up to how much you want to travel around Wilmington and where you are staying. There are a lot of cabs in Wilmington and they are cheap. I know that if you are staying at the Wingate--the beach and downtown are 15 minutes away without super heavy traffic. So it is really up to you, where you are flying into, and what you want to do. Don't forget about the discount with Avis!

The wedding schedule:

The schedule will be put up as soon as I have it finalized. There is one for the wedding party up already. Jarod and I, as well as the party and families, will be in town from sunday through the wedding. If you need us--email your phone number and we will call you as soon as we get it.

What should we wear to the wedding?

Please be comfortable--it is going to be hot out there. I am going to do my best to get everything started on time and have the ceremony only last about twenty minutes. I will also have fans for everyone, so that should help. I would recommend light dresses for the ladies and light slacks for the gentlemen. It is NC in august---you never know what is going to happen. It could be 110°F or 80°F. So prepare for either! And don't worry--the reception hall is air conditioned!

What is the closest airport?

Well, That would be Wilmington, NC. The airport code is ILM. I found this one to be similar in price to the rest of the airports for all the Ohioians and NYC folk. This airport has US Airways and Delta. This airport is the city we will be getting married--and you can get a shuttle to the WIngate if you reserve a room there. Also, there is the rental car discount for anyone who wants it. If you are having problems with the shuttle, email Jarod and I before you fly in and I will give you my cell to ensure that you get picked up.

Second closest airport is Myrtle Beach, SC. Airport code is MYR. It is an hour away from Wilmington. You can fly on Spirit and Allegiant, as well as the other major carriers into MYR. So you would have to rent a car, but if the price is right--it may be the cheapest way to go!

Finally, is Raleigh/Durham, NC. Airport Code is RDU. This airport is the furthest away, 2 hours. However--it is the cheapest for anyone flying from Tulsa (as far as I could tell). I know that flying into ILM was about 450 for one person when Jarod and I were looking for him. RDU has all of the major carriers as well as Jet Blue, AirTran, and Southwest. Sorry tulsans--the flights on southwest aren't available for August. Also you would have to rent a car because of the distance.

I think that is major concern for everyone.

The Wingate has the rooms on reserve--you may want to reserve yours soon.

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to ask. Just go to the contact us button and I will email you back. I think this list covers all the important ones.
